Kate Spade has been throwing back to the old days of the 70s. Oversized handbags, funky patterned apparel. Green is a predominant color among the bags. Their Classic "Stevie" bag comes in a solid "vine" color (which is their trademark green). The Stevie also is made of fabric with a luscious vachetta trim. Summer also brings lots of mixed media with an emphasis on nylons, light fabrics and of course plenty of straw clutches. Kate Spade has always worked very hard to really keep the brand image intact. Check out this video they put on their website to embody the collection:

An Ode To Alexander McQueen
Alexander McQueen was one of my favorite designers. It's such a shame we lost him so early. I own a great deal of McQueen apparel, accessories and shoes. I bought my girlfriend a handbag she wanted for so long. Everything he made (even the McQ line) was just so dead on, I loved everything of his and he will be truly missed. I know it's been a long time, but I was going through my shoe collection (I have over 100) and came across these:

Dolce and Gabbana Tax Case
I thought I'd share this article I read on Yahoo! News. You can view it here:
ROME (AFP) – Fashion house duo Dolce & Gabbana will not stand trial for alleged tax fraud after an Italian preliminary hearing judge on Friday threw out the case against them, Italy's ANSA news agency said.
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana had been accused of fraud of around one billion euros ($1.4 billion) as part of an enquiry into reports the company had failed to declare 840 million euros in revenues.
Judge Simone Luerti in Milan ruled there was not enough evidence to take the fashionista pair to trial, and closed the file on five other people who had been under investigation as well.
The reported allegation was that Dolce & Gabbana created a company in Luxembourg in 2004 and 2005 which was given control of the group's brands, thereby avoiding Italian taxes.
Dolce and Gabbana had denied the accusations. Their lawyer was not available for comment on Friday.
